Corporate Compliance

Committed to Integrity and Accountability

At Van Buren Community Mental Health, we are dedicated to providing services with the highest standards of ethics, transparency, and compliance. Our Corporate Compliance Officer ensures we follow all laws, regulations, and best practices while protecting the rights and privacy of those we serve. If you have concerns about fraud, waste, abuse, or any compliance issue, we encourage you to report them. Together, we can maintain a safe, ethical, and trustworthy system of care for our community.

Complaint Reporting
Everyone—individuals and employees—is protected when making a complaint. Whistleblower laws safeguard employees who report actual or suspected violations of state, local, or federal law. These laws also protect employees who take part in investigations, hearings, legislative inquiries, or court actions, and outline the remedies and protections available. You can submit a complaint anonymously by email, phone, or in person at any of our VBCMH locations.

Individuals may choose one of the following methods for reporting suspected compliance violations:

Telephone Hotline: Suspected compliance violations can be made to a confidential voice mail by calling VBCMH Compliance at 269-655-3304, the VBCMH Hot Line at 800-292-5419, the SWMBH Hot Line at 800-783-0914, or the Michigan Office of Inspector General Hotline at 855-MI-FRAUD (643-7283).
