In an Emergency

An EMERGENCY is any thought or feeling that you have that you cannot control on your own, that you or others may recognize, which could put you and your health in serious trouble if you do not get help.

If you have an immediate and sudden emergency, you should seek help right away. At any time during the day or night call:

911

Or

Your local CMH 24 Hour Crisis Line Number Listed Above

Or

Go to any hospital or other setting that offers emergency care.

There is also a listing of places you can receive emergency care under the “Network Providers” section.

For Emergency Care NO prior authorization to pay for the care is needed. You can go to any place that offers emergency care and be treated and have it paid for by this insurance plan.

Post-Stabilization Care Services

In the event that you receive emergency care, you may receive services once your emergency medical condition is under control that helps to make sure your health continues to stabilize, improve, or to lessen your condition.

For example, if you are hospitalized for your psychiatric condition, when you are discharged you may receive services at a Crisis Residential, you may receive case management, outpatient therapy services, and/ or medication reviews.
