24/7 Crisis Support
At Van Buren Community Mental Health, we provide 24/7 crisis response for those facing urgent mental health or behavioral health challenges. Our crisis team offers immediate, compassionate support and expert assessment to help you through difficult moments—any time, day or night.

Behavioral Health Crisis Intervention
At VBCMH, we understand that mental health crises don’t follow a 9-to-5 schedule—which is why our support never stops. Our 24/7 Crisis Line, 1-800-922-1418, is always available to provide immediate guidance, reassurance, and help when you need it most. For individuals experiencing intense behavioral health challenges, our Mobile Crisis Outreach Team can come directly to you—day or night—to offer in-person support, assessment, and connection to care. Whether you're facing a mental health emergency or supporting someone who is, you’re not alone. We’re here, around the clock, to help you through it.
*If you or a loved one is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, immediately call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
National Crisis Lifeline
In addition to our local services, you can also dial or text 988, the National Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. 988 understands that life's challenges can sometimes be difficult. Whether you're facing mental health struggles, emotional distress, alcohol or drug use concerns, or just need someone to talk to, our caring counselors are here for you. You are not alone.

Van Buren Suicide Prevention Coalition
The Van Buren Suicide Prevention Coalition is a grassroots movement under our VBCMH direction, dedicated to saving lives, supporting hope, and breaking the stigma around mental health. Made up of caring community members, advocates, and VBCMH professionals, the coalition works together to raise awareness, provide education, and offer resources for those struggling with thoughts of suicide. At the heart of their efforts is the belief that reaching out for help is a sign of strength—not weakness. Whether it’s sharing a message of hope, hosting community events, or connecting someone in crisis to the support they need, the coalition is here to remind everyone that they are not alone—and that it’s always okay to ask for help.
